ASIZ/The Method

A closed loop from
theory to reality.

Frontier AI compresses the slow, expensive parts of science — surveying the literature, forming hypotheses, designing experiments. Researchers do the part that must touch the real world. Together they close the loop.

01

Theorize

Models ingest the full literature of a field — papers, datasets, failed experiments — and surface the hypotheses most worth testing: the ones whose truth would unlock a technology.

02

Design

For each hypothesis, models design the experiments and simulations to test it, then rank them by information gained per dollar and per day. We run the in-silico ones first.

03

Partner

The highest-value physical experiments go to the universities, national labs, and companies best equipped to run them — with funding, protocols, and analysis attached.

04

Realize

Results return to the loop, sharpening the next round. Validated paths compound until the technology crosses from possible to demonstrated — published openly along the way.

Why it works

The bottleneck was never imagination.

Most emerging technologies stall in the gap between a promising theory and the one decisive experiment that would prove it out. That gap is expensive: thousands of candidate paths, each slow and costly to test by hand.

Frontier models change the economics. They can reason over the entire candidate space at once, prune the dead ends in silico, and design the few real-world experiments most likely to settle the question. That turns a decade of trial-and-error into a focused, fundable program.

ASIZ doesn't replace the scientist. It hands the scientist the right experiment — and the resources to run it.

The partnership

Who does what.

ASIZ brings
Hypothesis generation, experiment design & ranking, simulation, funding, and open data & analysis.
Partners bring
Domain expertise, instruments, wet-labs, and the judgment to run experiments well.
Shared
Authorship, open results, and the credit for turning a theory into a working technology.
Never
Closed results, captured IP, or capability shipped ahead of safety review.
An example

Room-temperature superconductors

Theorize — models read every superconductivity paper and propose candidate compound families with the strongest theoretical case.

Design — they simulate stability and rank a short list of syntheses by likelihood of success and cost.

Partner — a materials lab synthesizes and measures the top candidates under ASIZ funding.

Realize — measurements feed back; the model updates; the search converges. Every result is published.
